Often Working Together, Chicco Jerikho Experiences New Challenges With Angga Sasongko

JAKARTA - Chicco Jerikho and Angga Sasongko often work together in a number of films both as directors - actors and directors and producers. However, in his latest film, Chicco feels that he has a tough challenge when directed by Angga Sasongko.

Through the film Heartbreak Totaling, Chicco Jerikho plays Raga, a businessman who is present in Ava Alessandra's life, played by Laura Basuki.

The first is here I have to create a Raga who gives color to the world of Ava. In the midst of this luxury, Raga gives a touch of less is more, nothing more and this is challenging," Chicco Jerikho said at a press conference on Friday, July 26.

"This is the first time I've worked on it like this. My first film collaborated with Reza Rahadian, Laura Basuki and was appointed from the novel Ika Natassa," he said.

Feeling challenged, Chicco discussed a lot with Angga Sasongko as the director and Ika Natassa as the owner of the original story.

"I've read the novel first and I asked Ms. Ika's view, that's a record for me. I also talked to Angga about the picture of Raga that freed me to bring Raga to life," said Chicco again.

"I have a lot of cooperation with Chicco from East Light, Ben & Jodi, Bukaan 8, I think this is the most subtile character Chicco plays so its exploration is interesting," added Angga Sasongko.

Angga said Chicco Jerikho was a different figure from his appearance. His latest film is Chicco's new exploration in acting.

"Chicco is a very gentle person in his life, soft boy, so actually Raga is not far from Chicco. At least he is hard morning, same as barbell," said Angga.

Meanwhile, the film Heartbreaktip will be released in Indonesian cinemas starting August 1, 2024.
