NTB Prosecutor's Office Hunts Eight Suspects In Election And Corruption Cases

NTB - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor's Office is still investigating the whereabouts of eight suspects and an inmate who is on the prosecutor's wanted list (DPO).

Spokesperson for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Efrien Saputera, revealed that the eight suspects and a convict with the status of a DPO were related to corruption and election cases.

"Of the eight suspects, four of them are related to corruption cases, four are related to the election case," said Efrien in Mataram, NTB, Friday, July 19, which was confiscated by Antara.

He conveyed, for prisoners whose case was running for quite a long time and had received a decision with permanent legal force from the Corruption Court at the Mataram District Court named Ruslan.

The man from Akar-akar Village, Bayan District, North Lombok Regency is a prisoner based on a verstek decision or a decision handed down without the defendant's presence in court.

The case that stated that Ruslan was proven guilty of corruption was related to the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) program of North Lombok Regency. Ruslan acts as a provider of building materials.

Ruslan was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison and a fine of Rp. 300 million, subsidiary to four months in prison, and was charged with compensation of Rp. 1.1 billion.

The criminal sentence is in accordance with the decision of the Corruption Court at the Mataram District Court Number: 13.K/Pid.Sus.TPK/2017/PN.MTR, dated July 24, 2024.

Furthermore, the four corruption suspects who are included in the search list are Wishnu Slamet Basuki, Ida Ayu Wayan Kartika, Amrin Bin H Mahmud Hasyim, and Iswahyudi alias Iswahyudin.

Wishnu Slamet Basuki is one of the suspects in a corruption case in the building rehabilitation and maintenance project at the Lombok Hajj Dormitory UPT for the 2019 fiscal year.

Ida Ayu Wayan Kartika is a suspect in the case of misuse of the people's business credit program (KUR) at the BRI Kebon Roek Unit for the 2020-2021 fiscal year.

For Amrin Bin H Mahmud Hasyim, it relates to the case of irregularities in the sale of land for village assets in Labuhan Jambu Village, Sumbawa Regency in 2019.

Iswahyudi alias Iswahyudin, has the status of a DPO suspect in cases of irregularities and misuse of customer funds, savings, deposits, and loans at the Regional Bank of People's Credit (PD BPR) NTB Sape Branch from 2014 to 2017.

"For the other four DPOs, this is related to the election crime in terms of destroying polling stations (voting stations) in the 2024 Simultaneous Election contestation in Parado District, Bima Regency," said Efrien.

Four DPOs in the election case were named Sumardin alias Dien, Sumardin alias Eman alias Leme, Ikhsan, and Arifin alias Riborn alias Slank.

By outlining the identities of the eight suspects and a convict with DPO status, the NTB Prosecutor's Office hopes for community support.

"If you know and know the whereabouts of the people who are included in our DPO, please inform the prosecutor's office or the nearest apparatus," he said.
