KPK Reminds Newly Inaugurated Deputy Minister Jokowi To Immediately Report Wealth

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) appealed to the deputy minister who was just appointed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Thursday, July 18 to report his wealth. The letter will be sent to them so that the obligation is carried out immediately.

"The KPK will soon send a letter of appeal for LHKPN reporting to the person concerned," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardika to reporters, Friday, July 19.

Tessa said this obligation is regulated in KPK Regulation Number 02/2020. "Every state administrator who has only served for the first time is obliged to convey LHKPN no later than three months after being inaugurated," he said.

As previously reported, President Jokowi officially inaugurated three new deputy ministers. They are Deputy Minister of Finance II, Thomas Djiwandono; Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Sudaryono; and Deputy Minister of Investment, Yuliot.

Of the three names, only Yuliot reported his wealth to the anti-corruption commission because he served as Deputy for Climate Development for Investment at the Ministry of Investment/BKPM. According to the e-LHKPN uploaded by the KPK, he was recorded as having assets worth IDR 11.08 billion in 2023.

In detail, Yuliot has land and building assets worth Rp. 6,970,000,000; transportation equipment and machinery worth Rp. 1,283,000,000.

Then, he also reported other movable assets worth IDR 858 million; securities worth IDR 1 billion; cash and cash equivalents with a value of IDR 954,242,713; and other assets worth IDR 15 million.
