South Kalimantan Police Ensures 56 Victims Of Smoothed Teler In Banjarmasin Are Not Related To Savings

SOUTH KALIMANTAN - The Health Office (Dinkes) of South Kalimantan Province (Kalsel) has confirmed that there is no content of kecubung fruit in the bodies of all high-level victims who are now being treated at the Sambang Lihum Mental Hospital.

Chaliq said the case was sporadic, aka not in one place but scattered in a number of areas.

Currently 26 patients are from Banjarmasin City, six people from Barito Kuala Regency, seven people from Banjar Regency, three people from Banjarbaru City, one from Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency and four people from Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, the Director of Drug Investigation at the South Kalimantan Police, Kombes Pol. Kelana Jaya, said that efforts to eradicate the circulation of white drugs without brands were continuing.

Even the South Kalimantan Regional Police and the Polres ranks have confiscated as many as 25 thousand pills and arrested seven of their dealers with the snares of Article 435 in conjunction with Article 138 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health.

Now the South Kalimantan Police are still waiting for the results of the Forensic Laboratory (Labfor) of the Surabaya Police Headquarters on the content of white drugs without a brand which are now troubling due to their misuse for the effects of getting drunk.

The coordination meeting, which was initiated by the Director of Drug Investigation at the South Kalimantan Police, was also attended by Nur Cahaya, a lecturer at the Pharmacist Professional Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), which prompted an in-depth investigation into social phenomena related to the misuse of illegal drugs in the community.

Previously, the Head of Public Relations of the South Kalimantan Police, Kombes Pol. Adam Erwindi, had stated that all viral videos on social media stated that the victim was drunk because she consumed the tube, which was not true or was a hoax.

The results of police investigations against a number of victims admitted that they only took drugs that were abused to get drunk.
