Held Operation Patuh Jaya 2024, South Jakarta Police Admits Shortage Of Personnel
South Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Head, Kompol Yunita revealed the reason why there are only a few points that focus the police on holding Operation Patuh Jaya 2024.
Kompol Yunita explained, his party acknowledged that there was a shortage of personnel in the activity which was held today, Monday, July 15. It is said that there are only 164 personnel consisting of members of the South Jakarta Metro Police, but there are 84 personnel for traffic members.
"Because we cannot reach all areas with limited personnel, time, not optimal. We have narrowed the location," Yunita told reporters at Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, Monday, July 15.
"The first points that were raided were at Pasar Minggu, to be precise at Pasar Minggu, Kebayoran Lama Ciputat Raya, and Cilandak Fatmawati," he continued.
So far, based on the data received, said Yunita, there are dozens of motorists who have been caught. On average, they violate because they do not use helems and fight the flow. Then for the most common motorists are caught in the Pasar Minggu area.
"The majority are dominated by not using Helems. So the general awareness is still not high and this is our common task, to grow traffic order," he said.
Those caught, continued Yunita, were given a fine and reprimand from officers in the field, so that drivers who violated did not repeat similar behavior.
"So now our way of acting is by providing education, urging violators, providing educational advice brochures, and warnings to road users who still commit traffic violations," he said.

Meanwhile, for other areas in South Jakarta, officers will conduct random raids. So that those who violate will still be monitored.
"The priority is three points, for other areas we patrol mobile. If we find traffic violators, we give an appeal. If something is fatal, we will act with a manual ticket," he concluded.
The South Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit held a Operation Patuh Jaya program at a number of points, to ensure traffic order.
Head of Traffic at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Yunita Natalia, said that Patuh Jaya activities began today, Monday, July 15 to July 28, 2024.
"As of July 15-28, 2024, an independent police operation will be held, Operation Patuh Jaya 2024," Yunita said in her statement, Monday, July 15.
