Trying The Advanced ADAS NETA V-II Feature: Traveling Around Bandung To Jakarta

JAKARTA - PT NETA Auto Indonesia (NETA), a leading electric car distributor in Indonesia, has invited selected media crews to test the performance and advanced features of NETA V-II, their latest line of electric cars. This event took place from 10 to 12 July 2024, with a travel route from Bandung to Jakarta.

The participants were given the opportunity to explore various smart technology and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features owned by NETA V-II, including a special invited team from VOI.

"This media test drive is an opportunity for NETA Indonesia to introduce directly NETA V-II and all its advanced features to media colleagues. We hope they get a memorable experience and can try all the ADAS features we provide for driving convenience and safety," said Jerry Huang, Managing Director of NETA Auto Indonesia.

NETA V-II is equipped with a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery with a capacity of 36.1 kWh, which is capable of traveling up to 401 km in one charge. This car also offers a variety of excellent features that support better, safe, and comfortable driving experiences. One of them is the Smart Driving system with 9 ADAS functions, namely Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Front Vehicle Start Alert (FSA), Full-Speed Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Integrated Cruise Assist (ICA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Emergency Lane Keeping System (ELKS), and High Beam Assist (HBA).

The trip from Bandung to Jakarta with NETA V-II provides an opportunity to see firsthand how the ASIS features work on the highway. As a city with quite heavy traffic, Bandung and Jakarta are the ideal places to test the ability of NETA V-II.

The VOI team tried the Full-speed Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) feature when entering the toll road area. This feature allows the car to adjust speed automatically to the vehicle at the front, providing extra comfort for drivers especially when facing traffic jams. As a result, NETA V-II provides a very comfortable driving experience.

The Traffic Jam Assist (TJA) feature is also very helpful in dealing with congestion, by setting up car acceleration and deceleration automatically. When traffic is smoother, Integrated Cruise Assist (ICA) maintains a safe distance from vehicles up front, providing a sense of security and calm for drivers. The Emergency Lane Keeping System (ELKS) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) features ensure the car remains on track, adding security while driving on toll roads.

The interior NETA V-II is designed for maximum comfort with a wide space and premium leather seats. Other features such as Wireless Phone Charging, a 14.6-inch high-resolution control screen for entertainment and navigation, as well as CarPlay connectivity that allows mobile phone integration with car entertainment systems, making travel more practical and enjoyable.

Tempuh Distance And Battery Consumption

During the trial, the VOI team started using NETA V-II from the Aston Hotel to Kota Baru Parahyangan, with a battery charged 98 percent. During the normal driving style trip with a 4-passer capacity of cars. Then, from Kota Baru Parahyangan to Jakarta via the Cipularang Toll Road, through the MBZ Toll Road to the end destination of Neta dealer Arista Tebet, Jakarta.

After traveling about 131 km and facing some congestion, including in the Cawang area for a long time, there are still 58 percent of the NETA V-II battery, with a battery consumption of 14.3 kWh per 100 km, thus the use of the battery is only 40 percent used. This shows good efficiency from NETA V-II in everyday driving conditions in big cities.
