10 Chinese Citizens In Bali Arrested By Immigration, Officers Investigate Allegations Of Online Fraud Syndicate
BADUNG - The Class I Immigration Office Special for TPI Ngurah Rai Bali secured 10 Foreign Citizens (WNA) from China related to alleged violations of immigration residence permits.
Head of the Ngurah Immigration Office, Rai Suhendra, said that the prosecution of a number of foreigners began with reports from the public who entered the Ngurah Rai Immigration.
Chinese citizens were secured at the villa wilaah Kuta Selatan, Badung Regency, Bali, on Thursday (11/7).
"We received reports from the public regarding the existence of a villa in the South Kuta area inhabited by foreigners from China in a crowd and suspected of abusing residence permits. On this basis, the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Team (Inteljakim) of Ngurah Rai Immigration then collected materials and information related to the activities in the villa," Suhendra, in a written statement, Friday, July 12.

"They are suspected of abusing immigration permits. Currently, we are still investigating other immigration violations. Based on the findings at the scene, several laptops and smartphones were found. The team then secured all the foreigners along with evidence to the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office for further investigation," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding the findings of several laptops and smartphones, officers investigated allegations of being involved in online fraud cases.
"Currently, detention has been carried out for foreigners in the Ngurah Rai Immigration Detention Room and the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center while the Ngurah Rai Immigration Officer is conducting an in-depth process," continued Suhendra.
