Spotify Launches Comments In Podcast Feature

JAKARTA Spotify wants to increase interactions between podcast creators and listeners to build better relationships. Therefore, they launched a comments column on podcast features. According to Spotify, podcasts are a historically heavy entertainment format because they are not interactive. Spotify is trying to get rid of this shortcoming by launching Polling or Tanya Answer since a few years ago. With the comments column, listeners can have two-way conversations with podcasters they love. Podcasters can also get feedback directly and form communities for their events. "We are very happy to provide it because we are very interested in making Spotify the best platform for all types of creators to connect with their biggest fans," said Spotify Podcast Product Vice President Maya Prohovnik. Maya added that this feature can be managed directly by podcasters. When launched, all comments will come in privately and podcasters can choose comments that wish to be launched. They can also cancel the comments that appear.

If podcasters don't have time to manage their comments, they can enable the comment field freely per episode or choose not to enable comments at all. This whole freedom can be done via Spotify for Podcaster. Now, podcast creators can also use Spotify for Podcaster on desktop or mobile apps. In addition to controlling the comments column, this app can be used to check the latest statistics or track podcast growth in real-time.
