Helping City Government, West Java Acting Governor Asks For Online Gambling Data In Bogor To PPATK

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of West Java (Jabar) Bey Machmudin requested online gambling data in Bogor City to the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK).

This effort was Bey's assistance to the Bogor City Government (Pemkot) as an act of eradicating online gambling.

"We will later help ask for data from PPATK. Regarding online gambling, please be careful because we don't know on the left, right, front, someone is playing, because this is already very contagious," said Bey in Bogor City, Wednesday, July 3, quoted by Antara.

Bey said online gambling and online loans, which are currently in conflict. From the information he received, many online gamblers get money to gamble from online loans.

"So they played less money, they were offered a loan. So the bill was not from online gambling, but online loans," he said.

Therefore, Bey agreed that there must be joint efforts in tackling online gambling and online loans. One of them is through the Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) regarding online loans submitted by the Bogor City DPRD.

"I agree that there must be joint efforts, and we in 2024, the Bogor City DPRD proposed a Raperda on online loans. We also discussed online gambling together," he said.

In addition, Bey asked the Bogor City Government to anticipate that after online gambling data was opened, it turned out that many state civil servants (ASN) were involved.

"In addition to sanctions, as guidance on how the solutions and solutions will be," said Bey.
