Minister Of PUPR: Solo-Yogya Toll Road Operated Until Klaten In July
YOGYAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono stated that the Solo-Yogyakarta toll road project will be operational until Klaten, Central Java in July 2024.
"Solo-Yogyakarta will hopefully this July until we can operate Klaten, (long) 23 kilometers," said Minister Basuki at Balairung, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 28.
Basuki said that the inauguration of the Solo-Yogyakarta Toll Road could be carried out in stages and did not have to wait for all roads to be completed.
"Yes, everyone, the toll roads are not waiting for completion, everything must be gradual. (Toll) Cibitung-Cilincing how much, yes, which one is finished first, that's what was inaugurated," he said.

This, according to Basuki, is so that the infrastructure can be operated immediately considering that the toll road is an investment asset for the state.
"Because it's an investment, if it's not inaugurated it won't be operated so it doesn't have revenue. Every gate to gate to the door we can operate, it's quite long, 23 kilometers," he said.
Previously, PT Jasa Marga targeted the construction of the Solo-Yogyakarta section 1 toll road connecting the 42.3 km Solo-Klaten-Purwomartani to be completed by the end of 2024.
The Solo-Yogyakarta toll road as a whole has a length of 96.57 km, which connects Solo to Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulon Progo.
