The Head Of The PDIP Uses IDR 2.5 Billion Of Corruption Proceeds For Personal Needs To Buy Ornamental Fish

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officially detained the former Sestama Basarnas who is also the Head of the PDIP Disaster Management Agency (Baguna) Max Rudand Boseke today, Tuesday, June 25. He is suspected of using the money from corruption in the procurement of trucks for his personal needs to buy ornamental fish.

KPK Director of Investigation Asep Guntur Rahayu said that in this case, two other suspects were also detained. They are Anjar Sulistiyono who is a Commitment Making Officer (PPK) who is also the Head of the Sub-Directorate for Prosecution and Briefing of the Directorate of Facilities and Infrastructure of Basarnas and William Sidarta who is the Director of CV Delima Mandiri.

"Brother MRB used Rp 2.5 billion from WLW to buy ornamental fish and other personal necessities," Asep told reporters at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, June 25.

In this case, the receipt of the money was made after PT TAP controlled by William won procurement with a different value. The 4WD personnel transport truck reached Rp47.6 billion while the rescue carrier vehicle reached Rp48.7 billion.

William is suspected of conspiring so that he gets a project at Basarnas. After that he handed over the money to Max.

As a result of the actions of the suspects, the state then lost up to Rp20.4 billion. They were then detained for 20 days and could be extended according to the needs of investigators.

In this case, Max and two other suspects are suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
