Prove Subaru Forester's Resilience To Crosstrack On Offroad Tracks
JAKARTA - Subaru Indonesia together with the Jejelogy 4x4 school team held an X-MOD Xperience event for 2 days on June 21-22 2024, which was attended by automotive fans to Subaru owners and tested outback and Forester models directly, to Crosstrek.
This event was held to show intelligence from Subaru technology, namely Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (S-AWD), which has been used for more than 50 years and since 2009 this technology has become smarter with the presence of X-MODE.
"We believe Subaru Core Technology, such as Symmetrical All Wheel Drive and X-Mode, has made Subaru a very pleasant vehicle to drive on all terrains," said Subaru Indonesia CEO Arie Christopher, in his official statement, Saturday, June 22.
He said, with the Jejelogy 4x4 School Subaru team hoping to provide more in-depth insight into how to use the technology on the off-road track.
"With this experience, we are sure that the participants can feel Subaru's superiority in all road conditions, without worrying about losing control over vehicles, and providing a safer, more comfortable, and pleasant driving experience for drivers and passengers," he added.

"I'm sure, together we can inspire everyone to enjoy an off-road outdoor activity, camping trip, or weekend with family in a Subaru vehicle equipped with an S-AWD," said Jejelogy.
For how it works, the X-MODE feature when activated, the X-MODE regulates several important systems in Subaru to maintain safety and provide extraordinary traction and control.
The engine's Throttle response when trapped in ice, snow, or mud, drivers usually tend to press the gas more strongly. However, this can give excessive torque and cause wheels to rotate rapidly without traction. With X-MODE, the engine will provide torque in stages even if the gas is fully pressed, until the wheels get enough traction.
In addition, transmission when incline steep or difficult terrain like sand, X-MOD forces transmission to stay in low-tooth to maximize power. This is similar to the principle in off-road manual 4WD vehicles, but X-MODE does it automatically by pressing a single button.
