TANGERANG Coinciding with the agenda of the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS), the Greenpeace Indonesia group held a demonstration at the Graha Unilever BSD building, Cisauk, Tangerang Regency, Thursday, June 20, during the day.
According to VOI monitoring at the location, piles of Unilever product packaging waste were seen in front of the Graha Unilever building.
A U-shaped installation or maket looks like the Unilever logo. The logo is paired with packaged waste from a product made by Unilever.
There were also a number of banners and they read 'Dare Responsibility is Good'.
Ikbar Akbar as Plastic Project Leader, said that the goal was to carry out this action to restore the garbage made by Unilever.
"Today we are returning the garbage to Unilever because here the actual producer of the garbage owner is here," said Ikbar when met at the location, Thursday, June 20.
Ikbar said that Unilever is the largest contributor to waste from various countries. In fact, he is in the top 3 contributors to the most sachet waste that is difficult to recycle.

"At the end of the year until the beginning of the year, we audited the sachet waste in Indonesia, the Philippines, India. (It turns out) Unilever's top 3 contributors to the largest sachet," he said.
Therefore, he asked Unilever to think about the package packaging he made. Because the packaged garbage cannot be recycled.
"Because we see, the type of sachet is difficult to recycle. Because basically if they know how to do it, they (Uniliver) also have to know the processing," he said.
