The Finding Of A Man's Body In Mookervart River Daan Mogot, Residents: 'Light, There's Life Mud'
JAKARTA - A man died as a result of drowning in Mookervart River, Daan Mogot Street, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, to be precise under the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday at around 09.00 WIB.
According to eyewitnesses at the location, Sandra Karto (58), the man who was thought to be a teenager initially took a bath at 09.00 WIB, but eventually died after a few minutes did not come to the surface.
"That child started walking on the side of the river, I said 'don't sit there, it's dangerous, there's live mud'," Karto told the victim before the incident happened.
However, the victim did not heed Karto's appeal, and continued to dip his head into the river flow several times.
Then in the third batch, the victim did not come back to the surface.
"He's inundated, got up, got up, when the third time he's been (drowned)," said Karto.
The man who works as an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) saw the incident firsthand and reported it to local security officers.
The incident was later reported to the police.

Karto said that he and local residents did not recognize the victim.
"We are residents here, we know, we all know the residents here. Well, I don't know which person," he added.
After several hours of drowning, Basarnas officers who had been looking for victims finally found the victim not far from the drowning site.
The number of victims who were already dead were immediately evacuated by officers, totaling four people using rubber boats.
At the location, it was seen that residents and drivers were busy watching the incident.
At around 13.00 WIB the victim was taken to the nearest hospital.
