The Night Sky With Sparkling Stars In Bali During Nyepi, This Is BMKG's Explanation About The Milky Way
DENPASAR - Photos of star sightings scattered in the sky on Nyepi night in Bali go viral on social media. This celestial phenomenon is called the Milky Way galaxy with a bright sprinkling of stars.
"Actually, the Milky Way constellation will look better if there is no influence of other light, for example from the moon. Incidentally, at Nyepi, there is no light. So it is really clean in the sky and the sky is clear," Head of Field Data and Information Center for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) Region III Denpasar Iman Faturahman when contacted by VOI, Monday, March 15.
Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said the milky way phenomenon does not only occur on the night of Nyepi but sometimes occurs from June to November when the dry season.

"Sometimes the best months are in June to early November. There are also observations related to the milky way. If we look at June to November, the sun's position is also on the north side," said Iman.
"So the north is from ecotrial, possibly with the dry season there. So the sky will be minimally chaste, with a minimum of chaste, it will be easier to see a brighter sky than the rainy season during the transitional season," said Iman.
