Surprising Collaboration: Trend Micro And Nvidia Create Super Sophisticated AI Security Equipment!

The tools, planned by Trend Micro to be displayed at the Computex conference in Taiwan that starts on Sunday, will be able to run on the Nvidia chip and are designed to detect intruders and ensure data is only seen by those authorized to use it.

Many companies train AI systems to help their employees with tasks such as answering human resource questions or helping customer service agents. However, to do so, companies often collect data from their entire business to one place, making the system an attractive target for hackers.

"They got into the company and found a very interesting pile of information," said Trend Micro Chief Operating Officer Kevin Simzer, quoted by VOI from Reuters.

In addition to detecting intruders, another area that Trend Micro will focus on is ensuring that data incorporated into AI systems are not tapped by hackers. For most modern chatbots, users interact with bots by asking questions - and often questions themselves can contain sensitive information, either in the form of company secrets that have not been disclosed or personal data of customers.

"They often narrow the scope of chatbot responses by providing some very specific information," Simzer said of using the AI prompt. "That's what we're going to look for and make sure we see it first and we can make sure that it doesn't go any further" than people and apps authorized to see it, added Simzer.
