BEN Releases Two Single Songs, 'Falsafah' And 'Di Kota Ini'

JAKARTA - After launching two singles, Asmarandana and Residu in January, BEN returned to greet Indonesian music listeners with two follow-up singles, Falsafah and Di Kota Ini.

Falsafah tells of a person who tries to convince his partner in times of vulnerability. Going through hard times, trying to stay together.

Meanwhile, Di Kota Ini tells a story about a spot in a city that suddenly triggers memories of a love that has passed.

These two songs were worked on in September - October 2020 at Ben's Studio. In working on the song Falsafah, the main challenge was how to make ballad sounds groovy.

Meanwhile, in the song Di Kota Ini, keyboardist Benny admitted that he was inspired by the song Yogyakarta (Kla Project), Tunggu Aku Di Jakarta (Sheila On 7), and Englishman In New York (Sting).

"Some of the songs sound cinematic, I tried to mix them, hoping that cinematic elements can also appear in the song Di Kota Ini", said Benny in a written statement received by VOI editorial.

Falsafah and Di Kota Ini are part of the Asmarandana album which will be released in the next few months.

BEN consists of Benny Navaro (keyboards), Johan Nurrokhman (guitar), and Surya Luckmana (vocals).
