KNKT: No Black Box On Plane Crashed In BSD Serpong

The National Transportation Accident Committee (KNKT) has not been able to confirm and even suspect the cause of the PK-IFP Type Cessna 172 training plane crash that crashed in the BSD Serpong area, South Tangerang.

"We cannot yet suspect the cause of the accident. We are still collecting data," said Head of the KNKT Aviation Accident Investigation Sub-Committee Nurcahyo Utomo when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, May 21.

Nurcahyo also said that his party was still collecting data from the crime scene (TKP) of the training plane crash.

"Kami lakukan kemarin adalah pengumpulan data lapangan, kami masih perlu melakukan pemeriksaan pesawat lagi," ujarnya.

According to him, investigations related to the main cause of the crash of a training plane were quite difficult due to the absence of a black box.

"This kind of aircraft is not required to have a black box. So we are still collecting data," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a plane was seen shattered into pieces - a piece suspected of having an accident on the Sunburst BSD field, Serpong District, South Tangerang, Banten on Sunday, May 19.

Based on the video circulating, the plane codenamed PK-IFP crashed on the Sunburst BSD field. The plane was seen falling to pieces on the edge of the field.

From the video circulating, in addition to the body of the plane that was destroyed, it was also seen that the victim was lying down, allegedly a plane crash victim.

"It was reported that there was a capung plane that crashed, in the sunburst field. There were victims," said the man from the video.
