JAKARTA - Residents of South Ancol were shocked by the discovery of grenades wrapped in cement. This has also become the talk of residents around Sunter Agung, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanjung Priok Police, Iptu Tomy Brian, confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Monday, May 13, in the afternoon.
"It is true that a hard object suspected of being a pineapple grenade (explosive) was found which is suspected to be still active wrapped in cement," Tomy said when confirmed, Tuesday, May 14.
Tomy explained that the incident began when the witness, Jayadi, was digging the fishing ground. At that time, he found a lump of coran which turned out to contain grenades.

Then Jayadi reported to the police which was followed by an examination by members at 17.30 WIB.
The Tanjung Priok Police contacted the North Jakarta Metro Police until it was finally forwarded to the Gegana Polda Metro Jaya team.
"At 21.16 WIB, the Gegana team secured him, and was taken to the Metro Jaya Police," he said
However, the Gegana team continues to conduct sweeps, in order to anticipate the presence of similar items in the area.
