Attacked By Tigers, PT SPA Employees Died With Bites On Neck

JAKARTA - A resident of Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province, Rahmat (26) was reported to have died after being attacked by a Sumatran tiger while working in the L Block of PT SPA in the Tanjung Simpang Village area, Pelangiran District, Indragiri Hilir Regency.

The Head of the Inhil Resort Police, AKBP Budi Setiawan, said Rahmat was known to be an employee at PT SPA. He was found dead on Thursday (9 May) while working with two of his colleagues Rahmad and Awi.

"The incident began when Rahmat and Rahmad and Awi were spraying weeds on the Acacia PT SPA Pelalawan plantation that entered the Pelangiran area," he said.

While working well, Rahmad and Alwi heard the sound of screaming for help, which was suspected to be Rahmat's voice. Rahmad and Alwi tried to find the victim but were not found, but traces of the Sumatran tiger were seen.

"Then they reported the incident to the PT SPA office. Then the PT SPA employee team together conducted a search for the victim," said the Police Chief.

After a search was carried out, the victim was finally found in Petak 466 Block L dead. On the victim's body there were bite marks on the neck and ear, and the condition of the hand that was no longer intact.

The victim died with bite marks on the victim's neck and ears. The victim's right hand also broke," he said.
