Truck Driver Who Modusnya Mengancam Korban Dengan Thugs Ambon Akhirnya Ditangkap
JAKARTA Had gone viral on social media about the bullying of thugs against dump truck drivers on Jalan Daan Mogot, Kalideres, Semanan intersection, West Jakarta, the police finally arrested the perpetrators.
As seen in the video circulating, the perpetrator dressed in a black sweater approached the dump truck driver who was stopping on the side of the road. The perpetrator then asked for Rp. 2,000 while threatening to call the Ambon and Kupang groups, who were said to control the area.
Kapolsek Kalideres Kompol Abdul Jana when confirmed, admitted that his party had responded to the complaint by instructing the search and arrest of the perpetrator. Not long after, the police finally managed to arrest the perpetrator.
"We have secured the perpetrator with the initials AB (27) on Jalan Daan Mogot, Kampung Bali, Kalideres Village, Kalideres District, West Jakarta," said Kompol Abdul Jana when confirmed, Wednesday, May 8.
Furthermore, Kompol Abdul Jana said the perpetrators were looking for targets among truck drivers who stopped on the outskirts of Jalan Daan Mogot to check their vehicles.
"The modus operandi of the perpetrators is to threaten the drivers that if they do not give parking money, they will call Ambon people or Kupang people," he said.

From the perpetrator's confession to the police, he often asked for Rp. 2,000 from the drivers.
"The money collected was used to buy cigarettes and coffee. From the results of the examination, the perpetrator admitted that this was the first time he had committed extortion by asking the truck driver for money," he said.
Even so, the police chief emphasized that his party would not tolerate any kind of thuggery.
The burglary carried out by the suspect with the initials AB was based on the orders of the fellow perpetrator with the initials BI (DPO). In order to account for the perpetrator's actions, suspect AB was charged with Article 368 of the Criminal Code.
"We will take firm action regardless of the form of thuggery," he said.
