Courier Motorcycle Stolen In Tanjung Priok, Package Owned By Online Shop Consumers Also Taken Away
JAKARTA - A package delivery service courier in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta became a victim of theft. Unmitigated, the perpetrator took away a motorbike containing a package that would be delivered to the owner.
Tanjung Priok Police Chief Kompol Nazirwan said the victim named Muhammad Syahril had made a report on the incident that occurred on Jalan Swasembada, Tanjung Priok, Sunday, May 5, afternoon.
"We are following up on the theft case that happened to a courier delivering goods named Muhammad Syahril," said Kompol Nazirwan, Monday, May 6.
The theft case was caught on CCTV cameras and the video circulated on social media. In the video, the victim is seen carrying a package, arriving at the location where he delivers the package to the consumer's house.
At that time the motorbike and a number of packages to be delivered were left behind and finally two people came close to the motorbike.
The motorcyclist got off and immediately took the victim's motorbike parked at the location with the items the courier was going to deliver.
Police officers checked the location of the incident today to complete the investigation material.

"We checked the location on Monday afternoon to match the data with CCTV videos of theft circulating on social media," he said.
He said the incident really happened according to the victim's statement and video evidence of surveillance cameras.
According to him, the action occurred when the victim delivered the package to a consumer's house and when it was finished delivering the goods, the victim saw that the motorbike was gone.
"Then the victim checked the CCTV and found the motorbike had been stolen at around 16.00 WIB," he said.
He said his party continued to collect data by collecting witness statements and others. "We continue to try to uncover this case and arrest the two perpetrators," he said.
