Again, DKI Jakarta's Air Quality This Morning Is Not Healthy
JAKARTA - Air quality in DKI Jakarta is in the unhealthy category based on data from the IQAir air quality monitoring site, on Sunday morning.
Based on observations at 06.53 WIB, the air quality index (AQI) in Jakarta is in the unhealthy category with a smooth particle (particulate matter / PM) 2.5 at 160.
The air quality monitoring site with the latest time also listed Jakarta as the city with the fourth worst air quality in the world.
The city with the worst air quality in the world is Delhi, India with an air quality index at 333, followed by Kathmandu, Nepal at 176, then Addis Ababa, Ethiopian at 166.
A number of areas in Jakarta that are recorded as air quality are in the unhealthy category, namely PIK, Puri Indah, Jeruk Purut Pasar Minggu, Cilandak Barat and Kemang.

It is also recommended for the public to avoid outdoor activities, wear masks while outside, close windows to avoid dirty outside air, and turn on air filters.
Meanwhile, the Environmental Information and Hygiene System of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Environment Agency stated that the overall air quality in Jakarta for PM2.5 air pollution is in the medium category with an index in the range of 74-98.
Moderate categories mean air quality levels that do not affect human or animal health but affect sensitive plants.
