Governor Ganjar Pranowo's Action Help Rio Haryanto Stay In F1 In Today's Memory, May 4, 2016
Previously, Rio had a dream to compete in F1 world-class racing. The English team, Badminton Racing also warmly welcomed Rio. The two of them also worked together to navigate the competition in the 2016 F1 racing season.
Indonesian racer, Rio Haryanto once shined in the GP2 racing celebration. His dream is getting bigger. he wants to strengthen his steps as the first F1 racer from Indonesia. Support from the parents and all Indonesian people also flowed.
However, the matter of being an F1 racer is not an easy matter. Rio's power to penetrate the competition of riders competing in F1 is difficult. The only option that can make Rio able to compete in the world of land jets is to become a papa driver - the driver who pays for participating in the race.
The option can only be done to join the Racing Team. Rio plans to ride the Mercedez MRT05 if he can redeem the dowry offered by the manor. The dowry is not kidding, 15 million euros.
The Indonesian government is the savior. Pertamina also took part in sponsoring Rio. The state-owned oil company is committed to providing assistance of 5 million uero. The rest came from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and other SOEs 3 million euros. Rio has paid a total of 8 million euros.
The Racing Economy Team also inaugurated Rio as one of its riders in February 2016. Rio is scheduled to play in 21 F1 series. Optimism from the Indonesian government peaked. Rio considered that he was able to compete with other F1 stars. Even though Rio is still looking for additional funds to complete his dowry as apay driver.
"I have a fighting spirit too. So I salute, especially this is to fight for the country. We know Rio's history, when he was a child, he was seriously injured. But he can rise up to raise the nation's name, in a sport full of prestige..
"Maybe it looks like it's just driving a vehicle. But surely (a lot) I don't know what he's doing, exercising four hours every day. What is certain is that it can only be done for people with a winger," said Pertamina's Managing Director, Dwi Soetjipto as quoted on the BBC website, February 18, 2016.
Rio initially started adjusting to the race in F1. Maybe he didn't get any significant results. However, support to continue to be the best to come from all Indonesian people. He has completed several F1 series.

Problems arise. Rio's remaining 7 million euros had to be intensified to complete the competition. Rio's mother, Indah Pennywati, is also looking for support. He visited the office of the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo in Semarang on May 4, 2016.
The arrival of Rio's mother made Ganjar melt. Ganjar then immediately coordinated with the government ministries to BUMN to help Rio to continue competing in F1.
"It still takes Rp150 billion so that Rio can continue to compete in the rest of this year's race, we will find (the lack of funds). If one SOE can help Rp10 billion, then only 15 SOEs are needed."
"So it is my duty to convey to the Minister of SOEs who have been assigned. Badminton Racing has given a notification that at the end of May it must be paid, otherwise it will replace Rio with other racers," said Ganjar as quoted by the Antara website, May 4, 2016.
