Recorded By CCTV, Junior STIP Jakut Student Killed By Senior Dianiaya In Bathroom

JAKARTA - A student with the initials P at the Shipping Sciences College (STIP) in the Cilincing area, North Jakarta, died, allegedly being a victim of violence by his seniors.

North Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Gidion said, based on CCTV inspections at the STIP school, the victim received acts of violence while in the school bathroom area. The police chief said that they took this action not part of the school program, but insiatifs of the students.

"I think CCTV is clear enough to tell the incident. Because one of the events was seen in the bathroom. This means that this is an activity that is not officially carried out by the institution," said Gidion when confirmed, Friday, May 3.

"This is an individual activity by them. So it is not structured based on curriculum. However, the initiation is more than for students," he continued.

The victim died. And based on the results of the examination, the victim died from being hit with a blunt object.

"There are scars of violence around the heart. It's not a blunt object, but a blunt wound," he said.

Currently, the victim has been taken to the Police Hospital, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta for further action.

"The victim was subjected to a post-mortem by a competent doctor at the Kramatjati Police Hospital to find out the cause of death," he concluded.
