South Jakarta BPBD Finds Rival's Body, A Teenage Boy Who Disappeared In Ciliwung River Pejaten

JAKARTA - Rival (17), a teenage boy who was reported missing in the Ciliwung river, Pejaten, South Jakarta on Wednesday, May 1, was finally found. But unfortunately his life could not be saved.

The Commander of the Pleton of the South Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Muhammad Nur said the victim was found on Friday, May 3, at 14.20 WIB.

"That's right, he was found dead this afternoon. A radius of 7.6 Kilometers was found," said Nur when confirmed, Friday, May 3, during the day.

Nur explained that the incident began when Rival and Fadli and their colleagues were playing in the river. However, due to the swift water, the two victims were carried away until they finally drowned, on Wednesday, May 1, then.

At that time Fadli was rescued, when residents listened to the screams. But the other one is missing," he said.

Furthermore, his party who received the report immediately dispatched dozens of personnel and boats near the scene. The victim was found after 3 days of searching.

Currently, the victim has been evacuated, and the body has been handed over to the family so that it can be buried immediately.
