South Jakarta Scavengers Died In A Hut House, Witness: I Offer Tea Or Coffee Doesn't Respond, Turns Out To Be Dead

JAKARTA - Javawi, an elderly man (elderly) who works as a scavenger was found dead in a hut on Jalan Keramat, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.

Jagakarsa Police Chief, Commissioner Iwan Gunawan confirmed the discovery of Jamawi's body, on Friday, May 3, at 10.00 WIB. According to Commissioner Iwan, the victim died of illness.

"Yes, that's right, he died of illness," said Iwan when confirmed, Friday, May 3.

It was first discovered that when several colleagues woke Jamawi from his sleep. Residents were suspicious because Jamawi did not want to wake up. Until finally Jamawi was taken by residents to the nearest health center, it was discovered that the man had died. Residents also contacted the police.

"We need information from all kinds of health centers. The health center reports to the police station," he said.

After the incident, the victim was taken to the hospital by residents to confirm.

"Take it to the hospital for an external post-mortem. If there are no signs of violence, we will return it to his family," he said.

Meanwhile, a witness in the field, Parsini said that if she knew the victim had died, when she wanted to give her coffee or tea. However, the victim did not give an answer.

"I woke him up with no response. I made tea or coffee, but there was no answer. It turned out that he had died," he said.

He said that the victim lived in this place for 10 years. The victim was alone in the hut.

"It's been a long time living here. Brothers and sisters in their hometowns," he concluded.
