Rarely Occurs, Former Alfamart Employee Steals Tens Of Millions Of Money With New Mode

JAKARTA - A number of residents on Jalan Raya Pondok Rangon, Cipayung, East Jakarta arrested a teenage boy for theft of tens of millions of cash at an Alfamart. The mode used by the perpetrator with the initials BH (24) is unique, and rarely happens.

It is known that the perpetrator is a former Alfamart employee, Bekasi branch. Even though he is no longer an employee, in action he competes like an active Alfamart employee.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cipayung Police, AKP Hotman Capandi, said that the perpetrator went to the minimarket on the pretext of exchanging Rp50 thousand denominations.

"The modus operandi is that the perpetrators come to exchange money. The perpetrator admitted to being an Alfamart employee, but did not say that Alfamart employees were there, so other employees believed it. He exchanged money to the cashier, then followed it to the safe. Take IDR 43 million, the mode is to take a photo to make a report to the head of the shop," he said.

However, after pretending to take photos, the perpetrator finally fled. Then chased by the three minimarket employees and other residents. As a result, the perpetrator was arrested along with the evidence.

"When he ran away he didn't put the money into his bag, held it in his hand," he said.

"The motive is to have a lot of debt, but not an online loan," said AKP Hotman when confirmed, Thursday, May 2.

As a result of his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 362 of the Criminal Code for his actions. The perpetrator has also languished behind bars at the Cipayung Police.
