Viral Visitors To Ragunan Wildlife Park On Sunday Market Hit By Tree Branch

JAKARTA - A viral video on social media shows two visitors to Ragunan Wildlife Park, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta being hit by a tree branch.

Ragunan Wildlife Park Public Relations Staff, Bambang Wahyudi said the incident occurred on Tuesday, April 16, at 12.15 WIB. The number of victims is two people and is one family.

"There were 2 victims who were hit by a tree branch named Tri Retno Hariyati's mother (55) and her son Ria Hariyani (31)," said Bambang when confirmed, Wednesday, April 17.

Bambang explained that the incident began when the victim's family was resting and enjoying the food they brought. However, suddenly the branches of a tree nearby fell on the two victims.

"(On that basis) what we did was immediately help accompanied by the security team, what we did to help with the evacuation and the victim was already in a weak condition," he said.

After being taken to the first aid health post, the victim must be referred to Pasar Minggu Hospital, South Jakarta for further medical treatment.

"Thanks to our collaboration with the RSUD team, there it is immediately prioritized, getting priority treatment. Got information last night, that the daughter or ex-female named Ria Hariyani has been allowed to go home," he said.

"Then for her mother, it is still under medical treatment from the RSUD (Sunday Market)," he continued.

Meanwhile, Bambang also ensured that the medical expenses for the two victims for the incident would be borne by his party.

"The Ragunan Wildlife sector bears the full burden of the treatment costs of the two victims," he concluded.
