Kapuas Hulu Cicuk Satpol PP 17 Youth Party Alcohol At A Billiard Place During Ramadan

The Kapuas Hulu Regency Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) arrested 15 teenagers and 2 minors drinking alcohol at the moment of Ramadan 2024.

"We brought the dozen teenagers to the office for guidance by making a statement so as not to repeat their actions," said Head of Satpol PP Kapuas Hulu Bachtiar in Putussibau Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan), Sunday, March 24, which was confiscated by Antara.

Bahtiar explained that they were found drinking alcohol at a billiards place or sodok ball which also had room for karaoke.

According to him, this condition must be a concern for all parties. The reason is, if the juvenile delinquency continues to be allowed, it will expand and have the potential for free association and narcotics abuse.

"Business actors must also be able to provide a sense of security and comfort for the surrounding environment, especially during rest time," he said.

Bahtiar also advised parents to supervise their children's association, not to let the children go out of the house until late at night.

Moreover, currently the development of information technology, especially social media, is very rapid and prone to promiscuity and gambling, online games, and crimes starting from the negative influence of social media.

"Parents must also supervise the use of their children's cellphones, lest the younger generation be involved in promiscuity whether they become perpetrators or become victims," he said.

In addition, Bahtiar invites the younger generation to increase positive activities such as religious activities.

"Mengend yourself with faith and piety, focus on achieving the ideals of making parents proud, don't damage the future by promiscuity, drinking alcohol, and drug abuse," Bahtiar said.

The non-judicial operation, he said, was an effort by the Satpol PP to create public peace and public order as well as enforcement of regional regulations (perda) which were carried out at night with a joint team targeting North Putussibau and South Putussibau Districts.
