Due To Royalty Problems, Anji Chooses To Sing His Own Song

JAKARTA - Erdian Aji Prihartanto alias Anji is known as a singer and songwriter who has spoken out loud about music royalties. He felt that many of his songs did not get economic rights as they should.

Some time ago, Anji also wrote a list of songs he composed by other singers, but did not produce royalties as believed.

Therefore, Anji decided to perform his song for other singers by rearrange the song.

"Why do I present some old songs, one of which is. I didn't get royalties from those songs when performed on stage," said Anji when met in Kemang, South Jakarta last week.

Different People, their newest single, are songs composed and performed by Chintya Gabriella with the title Believe in Me.

On a new album titled Samsara which is planned to leave this year, Anji also uses his old song as material. These songs have been performed by other singers before.

"So, I brought it with my own version. And apart from the royalty performance rights side, I also want to make a concept that is Samsara. That means being reborn," said Anji.

Anji was reborn into a musician, and some of his works were reborn. So, indeed the concept is combined," he said.
