811 Officials Spread To 100 Points To Secure Ogoh-ogoh Parade To Welcome Nyepi In Mataram NTB
NTB - The ogoh-ogoh Parade and the fire war which will be a series of celebrations of Nyepi Saka New Year 1946 will be held in Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) on Sunday 10 March.
Head of the Operations Section of the Mataram Police, Police Commissioner I Gede Sumadra Kerthiawan, said as many as 811 joint officers were deployed to secure the event.
"So, apart from the Mataram Police, there is assistance from the NTB Regional Police, TNI, Transportation Agency, Satpol PP, Health Office, and also the environmental service," he said in Mataram, NTB, Thursday, March 8, which was confiscated by Antara.
He conveyed that the security personnel consisted of 450 people from the Mataram Police, 93 people from the NTB Police Satbrimobda, 93 people from the Directorate of Samapta Polda NTB, 80 people from the Mataram Transportation Agency, 40 people from the Mataram Satpol-PP, and the rest from the health office, the environmental service and the TNI.

Personnel involved in security are spread over 100 location points. In addition to guarding every banjar in Mataram with a total of 103 ogoh-ogoh, security is carried out in terms of traffic control.
He said that along the Pejanggik road, the procession route would be closed during the parade.
Therefore, there was a temporary diversion for traffic flow on Jalan Pejanggik when the ogoh-ogoh parade took place on Sunday, March 10.
"We apologize to the public for diverting the flow of vehicles during the ogoh-ogoh parade," he said.
