PT. PAL Boss Budiman Saleh Will Be Tried In The Case Of PT. Dirgantara Indonesia

JAKARTA - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators have completed the investigation of a case of alleged corruption in sales and marketing activities at PT. Dirgantara Indonesia (PT. DI) in 2007-2017 which ensnared the inactive President Director of PT. PAL Indonesia, Budiman Saleh.

Thus, Budiman Saleh who was the Aerostructure Director of PT. DI for the period 2007-2010, Director of Aircraft Integration of PT. DI (2010-2012); and the Director of Commerce and Restructuring of PT. DI (2012-2017) will soon sit as the defendant in the Bandung Corruption Court.

"After the complete investigation case file (P21) was declared, today Monday (1/3/2021) the KPK Investigative Team carried out phase II of the handover of the suspect and evidence to the Prosecutor Team with the suspect BS (Budiman Saleh)," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in his statement, Monday, March 1.

With this delegation, the authority of Budiman Saleh's detention was transferred to the prosecutor team for the next 20 days at the KPK Detention Center, the Merah Putih Building branch from March 1 to March 20, 2021. On the other hand, the prosecutor team had a maximum of 14 working days to prepare the indictment against Budiman Saleh. Later the indictment will be submitted to the Bandung Corruption Court for trial.

"Within 14 working days, the Prosecutors Team will immediately hand over the case files to the Corruption Court. The trial is scheduled to be held at the Bandung Corruption Court," he said.

In completing the investigation of this case, the investigation team has examined at least 112 witnesses during the investigation process. Among the witnesses came from internal parties of PT. Dirgantara Indonesia.
