JAKARTA - Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who is also the son of President Joko Widodo, immediately stepped on the gas to do his job as regional head. Gibran went to the field to accompany the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi on a working visit to Solo.
"Accompanying the working visit of the Minister of Transportation, Ir. Budi Karya Sumadi, to Solo this afternoon, I, along with the Solo Municipal Government and the Ministry of Transportation, held a meeting to discuss the construction of the second floor of the Tirtonadi Terminal which is projected to be a center for productive activities for the residents of Solo," Gibran said in his Instagram account as quoted Monday, 1 March.
Gibran said that the terminal's productive activities would not only become a transportation hub. But it will also become the center of social and economic activities in the city of Solo.
Gibran Rakabuming praised the revitalization that has been done at Tirtonadi Terminal and will help optimize the function of the bus terminal.
"Sports hall, food court, to function hall. When I visited the sports hall, I met children who were practicing boxing and martial arts tarung drajat," said Gibran.

It is hoped that various groups will come to the terminal, such as young people, parents, and art enthusiasts.
The area around the terminal will be made a kind of creativity center or function hall with an area of around 2,000 m2, which can be used for commercial activities such as batik centers, shopping, culinary delights, MSMEs development, sports venues, and so on.
