Russia Willing To Hand Over 65 Bodies Of Ukrainian Soldiers Victims Of Plane Crashes Allegedly Deliberately Shot

JAKARTA - Russia is willing to hand over bodies consisting of 65 Ukrainian soldiers who crashed military aircraft in Belgorod, Russia.

This was said by Russian human rights official Tatyana Moskalkova, quoted from the RIA news agency on Friday, March 1.

Citing RIA news agency via Reuters, Moskalkova has communicated with Ukrainian officials regarding the offer.

In the incident in January 2024, Russia accused Ukraine of deliberately shooting down a military plane containing 74 passengers, including 65 Ukrainian soldiers.

A total of 65 Ukrainian soldiers were arrested on the battlefield. They were originally to be exchanged for Russian prisoners of war.

However, Ukraine denies Russia's accusations. Ukraine challenged Russia to explain the chronology of the incident and speak further about who was on the plane.
