Xiaomi 14 Series Officially Launched To International Market

JAKARTA The Xiaomi launched its newest smartphone line, the Xiaomi 14series, globally on Monday, February 26. This device was launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 event.

Xiaomi 14 has actually been launched since October last year in China, while 14 Ultras were released on Thursday, February 22. Both devices officially entered the international market even though they would not be available in the United States.

One of its devices, namely Xiaomi 14 Ultra, is the result of collaboration between Xiaomi and Leica. This device uses the optical Leica Summilux to display a more sophisticated optical concept and product design in mobile imaging innovation.

This device is equipped with a quad-cameraprofessional, aperturevariable stepless f/1.63 to f/4.0, LYT-900 image sensor, 75mm camera photoambanging Leica, 120mm Leica periscope camera, and 12mm ultra wide camera.

In addition, 14 Ultra uses an aluminum frame with nano-tech vegan skin. The screen uses AMOLED Xiaomi-custom C8 WQHD+ measuring 6.73 inches with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 and brightness reaching 3000 nits.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi 14 is simpler with a camera that doesn't stand out. This phone also uses a Leica Summilux optical lens, only the aperture is much smaller. The camera's capabilities are combined with a Light Fusion 900 image sensor.

Xiaomi 14 uses a 1.5K CrystalRes AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2670 x 1200. This device also has a pixel of 460ppi, a brightness of 3000 nits, and a refresh rate of 120Hz to support heavy activities such as playing the game.

Both devices use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which produces a 32 percent increase in CPUs and a 34 percent decrease in power consumption. Both also use Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 which supports multi-device connectivity.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra is a competitor to the Oppo Find X7 Ultra, a cellphone that already uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Both use Sony's LYT-900 image sensor.

Another device that uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is iQOO 12. Collaborating with BMW M Motorsport, this flagship device is designed for a tough game. The refresh rate is much higher, namely 144Hz.
