Landslides On The Banks Of The Cipinang River, Residents Hope That The East Jakarta City Government Will Immediately Install A Permanent Turap
After a landslide occurred on the banks of the Cipinang River, Jalan Cipinang Timur, RT 02/04, Cipinang Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, local residents hoped that the East Jakarta City Government would immediately install a sheet pile or sheet pile as a measure to anticipate further landslides.
"My hope is that a sheet pile will be installed immediately, so that it is safe. So there will be no landslides like this," Juwita told VOI at the location, Thursday, February 15.
The landslide incident on the banks of the Cipinang River caused damage to residents' cars because they fell almost into the Cipinang River. The landslide also uprooted a tree and a chicken farm owned by residents.
"Because the water will seep up, that's what makes the landslide, right. If it's good, it's done to cover it, it should be. It hasn't been swabbed here." he explained.
Juwita said that the area of Jalan Cipinang Timur which he inhabited was free from floods. He also hopes that the relevant agencies can permanently install sheet piles.
"Rain has not been flooded here, since there was a BKT from 2006, we have not had any flooding at all. It's safe," he said.
