DKI Provincial Government Urges Anies-Imin And Prabowo Gibran Volunteers Not To Bring Private Vehicles To Attend JIS-GBK Grand Campaign
JAKARTA - Two pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, will hold a grand campaign or campaign for the last day of the campaign period in Jakarta.
The grand campaign on February 10, 2024, the Anies-Imin pair will be held at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), while the Prabowo-Gibran campaign will be held at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK).
Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, appealed to volunteers for presidential and vice-presidential candidates number 1 and 2 who want to attend the two locations not to carry their respective private vehicles.
"People who will carry out activities (a grand campaign) can use public transportation services and do not carry private vehicles," said Syafrin at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, February 6.
Syafrin also suggested that residents who did not attend the grand campaign event avoid mobility around the two stadiums.
"We appeal to people who do not have an interest in the two locations to avoid the location because there is a confirmed density on the 10th, both at JIS and GBK," explained Syafrin.
To facilitate supporters who will visit the location of the grand campaign, the DKI Provincial Government has added a fleet of Transjakarta buses with 100 units each at JIS and GBK.

Syafrin said that his party would map a number of parking locations that JIS and GBK visitors could use.
Currently, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency is still preparing traffic engineering around JIS and GBK. One of them, there will be a number of road sections in the Sunter area to the JIS area.
"Polanya seperti biasanya dilakukan pada saat JIS event tertentu. Jadi akan dilakukan penutupan jalan di Jalan Sunter Permai Raya, bentang RE Martadinata dan traffic light Bisma, kemudian Jalan Danau Sunter Barat," jelas Syafrin.
As is known, the General Elections Commission (KPU) has set a campaign period for the 2024 General Election to last 75 days, starting from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024.
After the campaign period ends, it will continue with a calm period starting from February 11 to 13, 2024. On February 14, the public will vote at the polling station according to their place of residence.
