Rohil Police Member Dies Overdose Of Illegal Drugs In Nightclubs

PeKANBARU - A member of the Rokan Hilir Resort Police, Riau, BRiptu JD reportedly died of a drug overdose he consumed at a nightclub.

Head of Profession and Security Division of the Riau Police, Kombes Edwin Louis Sengka, confirmed the death of Brigadier JD on Sunday (4/2). Based on the autopsy results, JD died of excessive drug consumption.

"It's true (overdose), this is after we conducted an autopsy at the Bhayangkara Hospital of the Riau Police," said Edwin, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 6.

He explained that the autopsy was carried out to determine the cause of Brigadier JD's death.

The Forensic Medical Team for Medical and Health Affairs (Bidokkes) of the Riau Police confirmed that the cause of BrigadierJD's death was due to the intoxy of the methamphetamine consumed less than 72 hours before the examination.

In addition, injuries were also found on the victim's body, but the wound was not significant as a cause of death.

"There are wounds, that's right, but not the cause of death," he said.

On Sunday (4/2), BRiptu JD was found to have gone to a nightclub with his senior colleagues with the initials SA and NP. At the entertainment venue, JD was unconscious and his two seniors were taken to the Athaya Medika Rokan Hilir Hospital, but his life could not be saved.

Meanwhile, both seniors SA and NP have been secured and special placements are carried out in the Riau Police Propam Division for further investigation.

"The two seniors have been assigned (special placements) since the beginning of our case. After we received the report, we immediately secured the seniors that day and they admitted everything," continued Edwin.
