JIS Arrangement Considers It Needs To Be Improved Ahead Of The Capital Move
JAKARTA - The move from the capital city from Jakarta to the archipelago, East Kalimantan is said to be changing the orientation of Jakarta's development to a global city. There are 10 areas in DKI Jakarta that will be proposed to become the Thematic Zone that will support the transition from Jakarta to a global city.
One of them is the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) which is used as a special sports thematic area (MICE). City Planning Observer Nirwono Yoga sees the need for an increase in JIS arrangement as one of the international standard facilities owned by the DKI Provincial Government.
"The JIS area and its surroundings as centers of international sports activities need to be arranged for buildings and the environment," Nirwono said in his statement, Tuesday, February 6.
Nirwono revealed that later Jakarta will also become a center for urban development in Indonesia that will compete with big cities in the world and the same as Tokyo, Japan and London Raya, England. He hopes that Jakarta will continue to strengthen infrastructure to become an economic and business city after the transfer of capital status.
Meanwhile, President Director of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Iwan Takwin said that his party was assigned to build and manage JIS by the DKI Provincial Government. Since the beginning of the planning, JIS has been used as a node for new welfare and economic growth areas in the northern area of Jakarta.
"Before the JIS area, this area was previously an empty land that was actually widely used by the surrounding community to become a waste disposal site, to processing junk items," said Iwan.
That way, he continued, the presence of JIS is one of the urban regeneration or symbols of sustainable regional arrangement. That way, in the South there is GBK and in North Jakarta there is JIS.

In addition, JIS will also be integrated with public transportation such as Transjakarta bus stops, train stations, to Jakarta LRT. Then, commercial areas, hotels and other supporting buildings will also support the JIS area as an integrated sports area.
"The manufacturer is not only an international standard facility, but the pattern of activities formed at JIS will also have international standards. Therefore, Jakpro is not only focused on its activities, but also education," explained Iwan.
"So, the mindset of the community can be formed, that as an integrated sports area with supporting facilities in the vicinity, this area supports Jakarta as a Jakarta global city," he added.
On the one hand, Jakpro is said to have carried out the obligations given by the DKI Provincial Government in accordance with the Law which refers to Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 62 of 2018.
Assignment, Jakpro provides compensation fees to the entire community of Kampung Bayam, totaling 642 Heads of Families (KK) for their residential replacement in Kampung Bayam.
Jakpro's cost of resettlement action plan (RAP) was distributed Rp13.9 to 642 affected families. The nominal received by each resident varied, ranging from Rp6 million to Rp110 million.
