Unconfidence, Yuna ITZY Stressed Almost Not Debut

JAKARTA - Yuna is one of the third generation K-pop idols who gets attention. Every time he releases a song with ITZY, his appearance is always viral on social media.

Behind his success with ITZY, Yuna recently revealed a fact that he barely debuted with the group. He admitted that he was not even a member planned to debut with ITZY in 2019.

When I was a trainee, I trained hard to debut. At JYP Entertainment, everyone gets a report card at the end of the month," Yuna said on the Radio Star show.

You can check the trainee ranking on the card. I've never got the top rank, but other ITZY members are consistently in the top 10 rankings," he continued.

When he found out his name was not included in ITZY's initial plan, the youngest member felt stressed because he had been training for three years.

"Very frustrated. At that time, I told myself, 'I've been training for three years. Is it possible it's time to end it. Did I come out?' he said.

Yuna was also selected as the last member to debut with ITZY after Yeji, Ryujin, Lia, and Chaeryeong.

"When I was elected, I continued to be stressed because I felt not at the same level as other members who were very good. I didn't lie. I still feel that, I was not as good as them," he admitted.

"I admit that singing the ITZY song is difficult. I feel guilty about ITZY members having to sing the part in a high tone. So my goal is to get more part of our song this year," he said.

After releasing his new album, ITZY is scheduled to tour the world this month and then continue to Asia, Australia, North America, and Europe. They will leave with four members because Lia is still in a vacuum.
