Dozens Of Karawang Residents Poisoned By The Deli II Pindo Factory Gas
JAKARTA - Dozens of residents of Kutamekar Village, Ciampel District, Karawang Regency were again poisoned by gas allegedly due to a leak from the caustic soda factory owned by PT Pindo Deli II on Saturday night, January 20.
For further handling, dozens of residents were evacuated to the Rosela Karawang hospital. Meanwhile, the alleged gas leak from PT Pindo Deli II is still under investigation by the Karawang Police.
Currently, Sunday, January 21, the Karawang Police have started disaster mitigation at the crime scene.
"We have just mitigated the disaster," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Karawang Police, AKP Jalil when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, January 21.
In addition, the Karawang Police have also installed a yellow police line at the crime scene (TKP) for alleged gas leaks.

The case of gas leakage at PT Pindo Deli II also occurred on June 3, 2021, with 80 victims experiencing shortness of breath and treatment.
In other cases, in 2017 and 2018, local residents have also experienced the same suffering due to the leak of Pindo Deli II's scheme.
