Exhibited On Galaxy Unpacked, Here's The Galaxy S24 Series Specification

JAKARTA Samsung Electronics held a Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, January 17. At the event, they introduced the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra phones.

Samsung did make a new breakthrough by adding a Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature in the Galaxy S24series. Even though it looks sophisticated, we still have to pay attention to the components or specifications of the device.

In terms of cameras, the Galaxy S24 Ultra still adopts a 200MP wide camera from the previous generation. Its Lensezooptics have been enlarged five times, while the 50MP sensor presented can be enlarged up to 10 times thanks to the Adaptive Pixel Sensor.

For the Galaxy S24 and S24+, both have a 50MP wide camera with an optic image stabilizer angle (OIS) that can control shocks, while the ultra-wide camera is limited to 12MP and the telephoto camera is 10MP with a tripled zoomoptic.

Next, the chipset brought by the Galaxy S24 Ultra is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which is specifically optimized for AI processing. Although the S24 and S24+ only use theExynos 2400 chipset, its performance is close to the chipset brought by the S24 Ultra.

In addition to bringing the Galaxy AI breakthrough, Samsung also brought new changes using the titanium frame on the S24 Ultra. With these changes, Samsung claims that the frame can prolong the life of the body of the cellphone.

On the screen, the S24 Ultra uses an AMOLED 2X screen with a width of 6.8 inches. The refreshar speed reaches 120Hz with Corning Gorilla Armor as an antigores. According to Samsung, this antigores can reduce reflection in various conditions of light.

Samsung did not explain the antigores used by S24 and S24+, but both of them still used the AMOLED 2X screen. The refresh rate is still the same as the S24 Ultra series, but the size of the S24 is only 6.2 inches and the S24+ is 6.7 inches wide.

The battery capacity of these three devices is also different. The Galaxy S24 uses a 4,000 mAh battery, S24+ uses a 4,900mAh battery, and the S24 Ultra uses a 5,000mAh battery. All three will carry the Android 14 and One UI 6.1 operating systems (OS).

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is a tough competitor to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Apart from the sophisticated camera, both devices use titanium frames. Apple uses the A17 Pro chipset with 3nanometers (nm).

Meanwhile, competitors for the Galaxy S24 and S24+ are Vivo X100 and Oppo Find X7. The two devices in the flagship class use the ChipsetMediaTek Dimensity 9300 which is a competitor to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
