WhatsApp Channels Can Now Be Managed By Dozens Of Admins

JAKARTA WhatsApp added several updates to the Channel, one of which is account control by multi-admins. Now, Whatsapp channels can be controlled by dozens of people at once.

By expanding admin controls, WhatsApp wants to help Channel owners manage their Channels. Channel Owners can invite anyone as admin as long as the invited person is in contact.

"Mark your channel team with the Multi-Admin feature, where you can now add up to 16 contacts as admins to help," WhatsApp wrote in an official statement some time ago.

Although Channels can have more admins, the main control remains in the hands of the channel owner. The only person who can invite and stop the admin is the main owner and admin in the Channel.

WhatsApp says that Channel owners can, "Invit several admins at once and each invitation will open a separatechatter between you (the channel owner) and the invited admin. You will receive a notification if the invitation is accepted."

In addition to controlling admins, Channel owners can also see a list of invited admins and admins who are still actively holding Channels. This admin information will appear at the top of the Channel follower list, to be precise on the information page.

This multi-admin control update was launched along with voicemail features and polling for Channels. All three have been rolled out globally, but it is still gradual so that some Channel owners have not been able to see the update.
