28 People Injured As A Result Of The 'Bull Fight' Collision Of The Local Turangga-KA Train Evacuated To The Cicalengka Hospital
A total of 28 victims were injured as a result of the Turangga train collision with the Bandung Raya local train being taken to the Cicalengka Hospital.
"28 people were evacuated to the Cicalengka Hospital," said Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, to VOI, Friday, January 5.
The Turangga train accident occurred at KM 181+5/4 Babakan Village, Cicalengka Village, Bandung Regency at around 06.03 WIB.
Three people died in this incident, namely the local KRD driver Padalarang-Cicalengka, Julian Dwi Setiono, Assistant Driver of the KRD Local Ponisan and Pramugara KA Turangga named Adrian.
Meanwhile, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) together with the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) immediately investigated the cause of the train accident (KA) in Cicalengka, Bandung Regency, West Java.
"KAI will also conduct an investigation with the NTSC to find out the cause of the accident," said KAI Vice President Public Relations Joni Martinus in a statement reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 5.
Another effort is to evacuate two series of trains and repair damaged rail lines.

"For KA-KA trips that will pass in the Haurpugur-Cicalengka area, KAI will make efforts to engineer operating patterns in the form of rotating roads and diversion using other transportation," said Joni.
