DKI Disdik Withdraws KJP 492 Students Throughout 2023, Most Due To Brawl And Smoking
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Education Office (Disdik) revoked the acceptance of the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Plus program for 492 students throughout 2023 from elementary to high school levels.
The reason for the most revocation of KJP Plus by the DKI Provincial Government is because students were caught involved in a brawl and smoking.
Plt. Head of DKI Jakarta Education Office, Purwosusilo, said that the revocation of KJP for these students had gone through monitoring and evaluation of students receiving social assistance.
Students whose KJP receipts have been revoked, said Purwo, have been stipulated to have violated the DKI Jakarta Provincial Governor Regulation Number 110 of 2021 concerning Social Assistance for Education Costs.
"If the ban is not obeyed, then the social education assistance will be canceled. However, the cancellation will also be made of students who have graduated or have worked," said Purwo in his statement, Friday, January 5.
Along with the revocation of KJP Plus, the DKI Provincial Government has also periodically updated the data on the recipients of assistance in the integrated social welfare data (DTKS).
For underprivileged families who have not been registered with DTKS, they can contact the Social Security Data and Information Center (Pusdatin Jamsos) according to the residence area or Family Card (KK).
Purwo appealed to KJP Plus recipient students to obey the rules that have been set.
"The Education Office and the school will continue to monitor and evaluate students who receive KJP Plus so that this assistance can be right on target," he said.
