Police Reveals Marijuana Cultivation Under The Guise Of A Coffee Plantation In Seluma Bengkulu, 2 Actors Are Being Hunted

JAKARTA - Seluma police officers dismantled 2 cannabis fields between a 2-hectare coffee plantation in the protected forest area of Napal Jungur Village, Seluma Regency, Bengkulu.

"It is true that the ranks of the Suka Raja Police, the Seluma Police, the Bengkulu Regional Police found and dismantled two cannabis fields in the protected forest area of Seluma Regency," said Head of Public Relations of the Bengkulu Police, Grand Commissioner Sudarno in Bengkulu as quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 20.

The uncovering of this cannabis field took place on Friday, February 19. In the first cannabis field, police found 20 stalks of marijuana about 100 centimeters tall and found 500 grams of marijuana seeds that were thought to be used as seeds.

In the hut, in that location, the police also found a unit of homemade long-barreled firearms and two live ammunition.

The cannabis field is thought to belong to a man with the initials SS (40) who is a resident of the Tumbuan plantation, Seluma Regency, Bengkulu. However, the owner of the field ran away when the police launched a raid.

According to Sudarno, it took 12 hours on foot to arrive at the location of the first cannabis field.

"Information on the two cannabis fields planted on the sidelines of the coffee plantation we got from the residents," said Sudarno. Meanwhile, at the location of the second cannabis field, the police found around 200 cannabis plants 150 to 200 centimeters high.

The marijuana field is known to belong to a man with the initials SI (32) who is a resident of Lubuk Sandi Subdistrict, Seluma Regency. But again the owner of the marijuana field fled when the police arrived at the location.

The police, he said, traveled on foot for six hours from the location of the discovery of the first cannabis field to the location of the second cannabis field.

"So the mode was by planting cannabis plants between the coffee plants in the two suspects' gardens, but both of them fled during the raid," said Sudarno.

However, Sudarno confirmed that his party had the identities of the two garden owners and had deployed a team to chase and arrest.

In addition, evidence of hundreds of cannabis stalks and cannabis seeds ready for planting along with one homemade firearm have now been confiscated and secured at the Sukaraja Police Headquarters, Seluma Police.
