Erik Ten Hag's High Confidence Returns Manchester United's Condition After Being Beaten By Newcastle
JAKARTA - Manchester United coach, Erik Ten Hag confidently said he was confident he could turn things around. This was revealed by the coach after the Red Devils were beaten by Newcastle in the Carabao Cup 2023/2024.
Appearing at Old Trafford Stadium on Thursday, November 2 in the morning WIB, MU as the host actually fell 3-0 in front of his own supporters.
Newcastle's three goals were scored by Miguel Almiron, Lewis Hall, and Joe Willock. Apart from suffering a loss, Manchester United were also eliminated from the Carabao Cup.
This situation makes the Red Devils even more sad. However, despite realizing that his team was in a difficult condition, Ten Hag admitted that he had the power to be able to turn the situation around so that it would be better.
"I understand that when the results don't exist, it's a logical process to question (the manager). But I'm sure I can turn things around," Ten Hag was quoted as saying on the club's official website. "With all the clubs I've handled, I've done it and also last year I did it here too,"
Ten Hag felt that his position could not be said to be safe, he could have been kicked out at any time. But the coach still doesn't want to give up and feels responsible for the team's situation until he calls this a challenge that must be resolved.

"Right now, we are in a bad position. I take responsibility for that. I see it as a challenge and have to finish it," continued the coach.
In the midst of the team's bitter situation, Ten Hag also did not forget to thank the fans who still support the club.
"Thank you, you still support us. In these difficult times, you still support us," he said. "We don't deserve it right now because we didn't give the best performance. We're trying. But trying isn't good enough in top football,"
"We know that. We have to do everything better and we have to improve our standards," he said.
