PENTAGON debuted in 2016 in 10 members format. Then, in 2018, Cube terminated EDawn's contract after he announced his relationship with HyunA.
They consistently released their latest musical work in In:vite U in January 2022. At the same time, several members also started a hiatus and underwent military service. Yan An, who has had personal matters since 2022, has not returned to active promotions with PENTAGON.
This was followed by Hongseok and Hui who underwent military service. This year, they actively released music and held concerts in Japan.
Meanwhile, neither the agency nor the members have explained whether PENTAGON will remain active as a group regardless of some members who have left.
On the other hand, PENTAGON's name was immediately on a trending topic after this news was announced by the agency.
