Tom Hanks Becomes Victim of Fake AI Video About Advertising
JAKARTA - Tom Hanks became a victim of a public figure whose face was used in a fake video. This video allegedly uses artificial intelligence (AI) to create a video that looks like Tom Hanks is doing an advertising promotion.
A video circulating on the internet shows Tom Hanks promoting dental repair insurance. Not a few fans think the video was made by the 67-year-old actor.
Realizing that the video had the potential to be harmful, Tom Hanks re-uploaded the video and warned the public about the video.
"ALERT!! "There's a video out there promoting dental insurance with my AI version," wrote Tom Hanks via his personal Instagram account.
"I have nothing to do with that," he said again.

Previously, Tom Hanks discussed the presence of AI which allows him to continue acting even if one day he dies.
“The performance can continue. "I can say there is now a discussion, all agencies and legal firms as to the legal ramifications of my face and voice and everyone else's could be intellectual property," Tom Hanks said on Adam Buxton's podcast.
"What's possible right now is that - if I wanted to - I could get together and make a series of seven films that would star me in which I would be 32 years old from now until kingdom come,” he continued.
“Without a doubt people know (it's AI) but the question is do they care? There are people who don't care," said Tom Hanks.
